It is 10pm, Dara's dad and I are back at the hotel. We just got some time with Dara, she has had a tough day. Dara spent a good part of the day resting and sleeping, she has been able to sit up in a chair and ate half her dinner and held it down. She needs to keep her eyes closed so she doesn't get dizzy when she moves. Our neighbors Dan and Carol stopped by to check on her.
The girls, Carole, Linda and Michelle F are keeping an eye on her for the first half of the night.
Again thanks for all love I am keeping Dara updated on all your notes.

Dara:
You may not remember me. I met you at least once at your Dad's house, and maybe elsewhere with your dad. My name is Melissa, and I am married to Rusty Burkett. We have 3 children, ages 10, 8 and 5.
I am so touched by your story and greatly inspired by you. You have helped renew faith not just for me but for many others, I am sure.
Your blog moved me to tears, of sadness and laughter too. As a mother of young children too, I could relate to your fears and feelings. Nothing new said here, the same as everyone feels.
Your dad is a great guy and we just love him. He never stops talking about his girls, and now of course all the grandkids. You have a lot of love around you.
While I don't know you, through the stories from my in laws (the Burketts) and your dad, I feel as if I do.
Keeping you in our prayers,
Melissa and Rusty Burkett

Your'e amazing girl!
The kids wake up every morning to check your blog....and they are so excited to hear that Willy is gone. However they wanted to know if you were going to get to see Willy and keep him ???
Much love my friend!
Many many prayers have been said on your behalf!
Love to you and your family,
Jodi Briand
Hello Dara, Not sure if you remember me. My maiden name is Leeanna Tharp. i went to high school with you. I just wanted to tell you that my prayers are with you. We serve an awesome God. !!!!!! He supplies all our needs. Take care and God Bless you.
Dara,
Hang in there......you look great. I love the headband....the bad thing is we wore those back in the day and what is even sadder, we thought they looked great. My kids still look at our cheerleading pictures with the bandana headbands around our heads and they laugh and ask me "Did y'all really think you were going to break a sweat?". The answer is "No, but we were really cool, or atleast thought we were."
You look great and I am so thankful the prayers were answered and the surgery went well and you are doing so well. You have so many people praying and cheering you on to a speedy recovery. Hang in there. I am sure you will get some mexican food soon......lol
Love ya,
Paige
A nice lady told me that you're going home tomorrow. I think that's pretty awesome.
Love,
Anna

Dara,
I heard about all this from Karen R and wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. It's been a long time since you were at PHS but I have lots of great memories from working with all you "kids." Now you have kids of your own; your family is awesome!!!! Your spirit is remarkable and I pray that your recovery will speedy and complete.

Dara,
Please forgive the my daugher's humor but she insisted I put it on here because she said "it will make her smile."
We're off on our travels so I'll be out of touch for the next seven days. I'm taking the lap top and will be checking in if they have wifi.
I find it absolutly incredible that you are going home tomorrow after such a major surgery. Obviously things are going well.
My wife and daughter wanted me to let you know that you are in their prayers as well.
You and your family keep up the great work and all the people across the country who are praying for will continue to pray for your speedy recovery.
Tommy
