The Perfect Day!

We grabbed breakfast by the ocean on the way down to San Diego.  It was a beautiful morning.  We said goodbye to Michelle, Madeline and Mason and started our journey.  Michelle flies back to Colorado today and I want to Thank her for everything. Grammy Judi and Pops Syl are holding down the fort and keeping the kiddos safe.  I feel good and can't wait to come home to Maddie and Mason.

This scripture continues to come to my mind as I read your blog and pray for you, especially this morning (in fact, you are probably in pre-op as I write this and pray):
"But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts my head." Ps. 3:3

May Willy be freed, and may the Lord be the lifter your head, a much lighter one at that!! ;)

Can't wait to hear the update from Julie, who is keeping many folks in Texas abreast of your progress.
God bless you, Art and the kids.

For all of Dara's friends - Dad just called and the doctors came out for their visit. They said it was a tough surgery and they had to work around a lot of nerves - smell, etc. They said the facial nerve was pretty stretched meaning she will have some facial drooping for some time, but they foresee a complete recovery. They do not see any problems with swallowing, etc. Thank you Lord - prayers have been answered! She is in recovery now for 1.5 hours and then will go to ICU. More to come...love you sweet Dara. michelle

Just talked to mom - girls give more fun details. The doctor said that Dara had the most sanquin smile on her face going to surgery. She was just smiling and at such peace. THe tumor was pretty vascular with a lot of nerves around it and they will get to visit 2 at a time. I will keep everyone posted....michelle
